新竹縣一名五十歲的林姓婦人，經過民宅看到結婚喜宴辦桌宴客，由於賓客進進出出，林姓婦人喬裝親友，溜進屋內翻箱倒櫃，還好屋主及時發現，婦人奪門而出，屋主大聲喊抓賊，親友們放下碗筷追上前，聯手將林姓婦人扭送警局。(彭清仁報導)
新竹縣湖口鄉發生一起假客人真竊盜案件！一名五十歲的林姓婦人，看到路邊一處民宅搭棚子辦結婚喜宴，屋主為方便親友賓客，因此屋內廁所也開放給親友使用。林姓婦人認為有機可乘，趁著新人逐桌敬酒時，假扮賓客進入屋內。卻不料林姓婦人一進入屋內後，就直接跑到房間內將房門反鎖，在房間內翻箱倒櫃找尋值錢物品。
七十四歲的黃姓屋主正巧要進房間拿香煙，發現房門反鎖，拿鑰匙開門後，意外發現房間有名陌生婦人，立即質問對方在房內做什麼！林姓婦人才趕緊辯稱是借房間換衣服，然後就趕緊溜出屋外。黃姓屋主看到房間內被翻的亂七八糟，立即追出門外，並大喊抓小偷。一群親友才放下碗筷協助追捕，並將林姓婦人攔下扭送警局。林姓婦人在警訊時坦承想趁亂行竊，卻不料偷東西不成反而被東家發現送辦。全案警方在偵訊後則是依竊盜罪嫌移送地檢署偵辦。
